Sugared Fresh Fruit
I made this for DH to take to work for his birthday today. They are like children, needing to bring in treats! LOL. Well I was up worrying last night that the strawberries were juicing so I got up at 4 am to check and sure enough there was some strawberry juice puddling around the top and dripping down the sides a bit. I sugared the fruit with sugar and added a little edible glitter. It really looks pretty and sparkly, but doesnt show up in photo well.
Looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing
this is perfect for the top of a grooms cake i have to make . i wouldve never thought of the chocolate. What kind of chocolate did you use please?

YUM!!!!!!!
yummy!!!
Looks fabulous!
Beautiful!! Can I have a piece? :D
This looks lusciuos!!! I'd like to know how you make the choc on top run over the edge without looking like it's running over the edge. Know what I mean? I love this look.
I spooned the ganache a little at a time and spread it to the edge with a spatula. Then I kind of "teased" it over the edge.
Mmmm...that looks so delicious! Great job!
Looks delicious......do you wait until the ganache is at room temp, so the buttercream doesn't melt?
I refrigerated the cake for awhile so it was pretty cold. The ganache had cooled for 5-10 minutes. It was still warm, but definitely not hot.
looks yummy :D
is that vanilla buttercream
it is vanilla swiss meringue buttercream
Yummy!!!! I love how smooth your finish is ;-D
What a nice cake, I love the way you made the fruit look, into my fav's this one goes!
