In community album: 2009 FairyTale Contest
I did this cake for my daughters 5th b-day.  I was shocked when she asked for another castle.  I posted one for her last birthday.  That cake was a nightmare and no one on cc liked it:(  it was sad... Just after making that one Wilton came out with the Castle set.  So when Emily asked for a castle this year... I new I would use the Wilton.. I had so much fun doing all the stuff for this cake and making the fairys....

I love this cake.....and I thought your other castle was great too. You do awesome work. I am doing a castle cake this week for my DD's 4th birthday....hope it turns out half as nice as both of yours

I think this adorable. I like the faries. What kind of cake pans did you use for the actual cakes?

I used an eith inch round (3 layers) for the stump and the new wilton large cup cake pan for the mushroom... But I flipped the bottom of the cup cake so that the base of the mushroom was larger than the top... tfl :)

You did a great job! thanks for sharing the instructions my niece just picked a mushroom cake from one of my books. Your way is easier than carving it out :)
