I made this jumbo vanilla cupcake swirled with buttercream for Martha Stewart's "Cutest Cupcake Contest." (I didn't win.)
The rosebuds, leaves and nametag are made of fondant, and I used two different types of cupcake papers, finishing it off with a satin ribbon.
Very cute!!!! Love the use of the two wrappers!!! And the icing looks fabulous!!

And you didn't win? I think you should have! - Theresa :)
Gorgeous!! It's a tough competition, but I hope you know you did yourself proud!! This is fantastic!
Results will be announced on April 11th according to the Website...You did an awesome job!
Actually, the 10 winners were announced on the show yesterday (4/8). So I *know* I didn't win! But thank you for all the nice compliments. It was fun to make -- and eat.
This is great. I loved looking through all of the cupcake entries. I liked the one that was a prison cupcake for when she went to jail.
I know! I thought that one was pretty ballsy. 8O
I don't mean to sound nasty, but your cupcake was a hell of a lot better than what was picked!
Ha, ha. Well ... I appreciate that. :-X There's no denying that there were a lot of other entries that deserved to win for originality and execution alone. (If you Google "sugarcake2" and "cupcake," you'll see what I mean. It's amazing!) There are some really talented people out there in Cupcakeland ... I'm sure some are CC users, too!
Ha! I love the :-X . Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound critical, but, I guess I would have picked some others first. Your cupcake is really beautiful!
