Chocolate transfer butterflies I made for a baptism cake I am making. The lady lost 4 babies before this one arrived. The butterflies symbolize her other unborn children.
that was so nice of you.. i'm sure that meant alot.. your butterflies are beautiful.. could you please tell me how you make them.. i'm not sure what you mean by choc transfers?
The Whimsical Bakehouse book explains chocolate transfers really good. You take chocolate candy melts (I buy the wilton candy melts), melt in the microwave and color with oil based colors how you wish. It is the same concept as a frozen buttercream transfer. You put your picture under a piece of wax paper, and then trace. Start with the outline and then fill in. I just use a parchment bag and cut a small tip in the end. Once it is dry (10 minutes or so) you flip it over and there you have it. HTH
What a lovely idea for her other children. These are great. I haven't done a ct yet. Dying to do so.
