Patchwork Baby Shower Cake
I don't claim to be a pro, just a beginner, but I really like the look of the patchwork cakes. I've done these for birthdays, my dad turned 50 and I put a candle in each of the blocks, and I've used them for baby showers. I like the little favors in the blocks, I've also used candles that said BABY SHOWER in the middle of the cake, and those were really cute.
This is really cute. You do good work!
Very nice work :P Nice and bright ! Its good to pat your self on the back some times!
Thanks. I saw one on this site where the squares were on the sides too, I think next time I'll try that. This one the chocolate got mixed into my icing. My husband smooths my icing for me. He's good to have no more experience than me. Very little. But thanks for the kind words.
So pretty!
Very nice work. The colors are very vibrant and pretty!
Thank you. This was my first attempt at coloring my icing. My are those paste's concentrated.
Thank you.
What a great idea! I'll be trying this design for sure. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
So pretty!!! How do you square off everything...so symmetrically?
I measured my cake and divided it by the # of squares i wanted, then I took a ruler and marked it with dental floss, my husband helped me. Then I just piped over the floss indentations.
