This cake was done to match the invitations. The cake is done in buttercream with fondant accents. The candies are made of fondant. The pinata is cut out of gumpaste and covered with fondant.

8O wow! Looks great-and very time consuming! What is around the base?
It is just a fabric trim that I glued to the cake board. I could not find a ribbon I liked, but when I found this trim I tought it was perfect for the cake. A little wild, but fitting for a fiesta!
