Very nice delicate work. I have been wanting to try this. Was it hard?
turned out great.....nice job with the piping!!!
Beautiful!
Wow, love your tiara, may I ask... what do you use as a base to pipe it so you get a curve?
Thanks you all for the nice comments! Surprisingly, making this wasn't very difficult. You should def. try it! To get the tiara to curve, just tap the wax paper to a large crisco can. IF you have any other questions, just let me know!
Well done it's fab! I did one of these & it broke as I took it off the can, do you have any tips for easy removal?
My first one did the same thing. So, what I did was pipe the crown (pretty part)and then do a second layer over the first. Then, I made the base of the tiara to (the part that would rest on the head if it were to be worn). Hope that helps, it worked wonders for me!
It looks awesome!
do u pipe the icing while its on the can or do u ice the pattern then stick it on the can? when doing seconds, doesnt the icing drip? plz tell me as soon as possible b/c i want to try it out tonight. thanks
Yes, do it while it's on the can. You tape the template to the can, then the waxpaper over then pipe away! Royal icing is VERY thick, so it won't drip. The can will be on it's side. A Crisco can is perfect size for this. Hope this and the info from the PM helps.
This is adorable! Great job.
Very nice!!!
