Twins In Yellow And Green
Cake and cupcake tower done for a family member having twins. The baby shower got cancelled because she went to the hospital for some pain and they kept her. Anyhoo, cake covered in BC dream and fondant, then airbrushed. Real ribbon on cake because I was too friggin sleepy to do a fondant bow!! All accents (except bow) are fondant, including the babies!! I am a critique group member; so I welcome all critiques.
Critique Subgroup Member: Ok the first thing I see wrong is you need to get your sleep!!Very important, don't forget to sleep :D The bow is nice but . Your BC is very smooth and I like the stitching. Besides your bow the only thing I would like to see maybe some stitches on the buttons. Overall this is an excellent artistic display!
Critique subgroup member: Audron, I prefer the Brit cake styles and they always use fabric bows! This is a lovely little cake! The button's are a really nice touch. Get some sleep now!!!!!

critique group member: yes, sleep is VERY important! maybe a little better planning too if you are staying up so late :) the babies are really nice..beautiful. I LIKE the bow but it's a little two big...is it green? I don't think the pic shows that and I hope it is! your buttons and stiches are adorable! I like the cake!
Yeah, the bow is sage green and white. I had the late nights because I had 7 cakes due between Tuesday and Thursday. Needless to say, I won't do that EVER again!!

Critique subgroup member: This is such a cute cake. The yellow fondant is perfection, as is your stitching, and I love the buttons, but would like to have seen the thread for them. Babies and blankets are adorable -- perfect. I so understand the no sleep thing and empathize. I personally do not like fabric bows or real or silk flowers, but you did great. This is precious!
critique subgroup member: omg, this is the cutest cake! i love the little babies, their blankie and their pacifiers! i love the doiley and the stitches on the sides. the buttons are a cute idea, but i am wondering if they should only have two holes, they look a little like ritz bits crackers to me! :oops: beautiful cake! into my faves it goes!
