That is wonderful! Are the animals royal icing?
Yes, they are royal icing. This was modeled after a cake that I saw on another site, but I have since found it in the book The Whimsical Bakehouse. The authors of that book used candy melts for the animals.
Wow! That sure is a lot of work. Excellent job! The animals are wonderful!
I volunteered to do this the afternoon before I had to have it at church. I think it took me about an hour and a half to do the animals. It was really not too bad. This was the first time I had done color flow decorations for a cake.
they turned out really cute. i like the palm trees too.
