In album: teal
This is my first wedding cake for my brother. It was inspired by a cake in the Wilton Weddings book. The colors chosen were matched to the invitation (bronze and teal). 15", 9" and 6" petal pans. Each cake was 4 layer. Devil's Food with chocolate whipped cream filling and pineapple cake with pineapple filling. The flowers are the "fantasy flower" painted with pearl luster dust.

Gorgeous cake!! Are the bronze &teal lace pieces fondant? & how did you get the lacey affect?

very nice... unique... how did you get the lacey affect and how did you get that color teal?
nautkl1 3/4/07 at 8:05pm
The lace effect is easy.... cut a piece of lace to cover the are you want in lace, spread royal icing over the lace and lift the lace piece to show the royal icing pattern. Wholla! Instant icing lace! Looks like you spent hours doing all the detail work, but only takes seconds!
