Orchids, pearls, and cornelli

critique subgroup member, new: Wow! I am really impressed with this cake. Your cornelli lace looks very elegant. I really like how you added a silver dragee in certain spots to mimic the silver of the ribbon. I know this is your first time doing orchids...I think the petals could have been a little smaller. I guess it's cause I've seen some before and I kinda know how they look. But, this is a beautiful cake and very professionally done!

Critique subgroup member: Be proud, your cornelli lace is very pretty. For a first orchid, lovely. Maybe next time make the petals thinner, almost papery and same with the leaves. And I think I would have steamed the leaves. I think I would have used a thinner ribbon or a taller cake, but it does not take away from the overall effect of your lovely design. Congrats very pretty.
