This was a small 5" cake. I used the Wilton tier supports for the turrets putting sturdy skewers into corners of cake & into cake board & then the supports. I covered the supports first & then trimmed them. Not enough because one was covered too thick which is why it looks crooked. This was for my Mom's 81st birthday. Used the devil's food 50% less sugar mix with chocolate icing. I think the vanilla is tastier. She was happy that she could have a slice of since she is diabetic now.
