This is my first attempt at covering a cake in buttercream. Found it hard to smooth so opted for combing the sides! Also my first attempt at piping roses, need more practice! The shell border is better on the bottom than on the top and is actually pale purple not the colour shown. Thought it would make a nice Mothers Day Cake!
