Spiderman And Roses
This is a 12" chocolate cake with vanilla BC and a chocolate mousse filling. I made it for my nephew's 5th birthday, but it's also my mother-in-law's birthday the same day. My nephew loves Spiderman, but my MIL, not so much. The yellow roses are for her - an odd combination, I know. I was hoping to do more "background" related to Spiderman, but there were just a few people coming, so even the 12" was a huge cake. Next time!
Thanks! He's a color flow project. I wasn't sure how long he'd last on buttercream, but now I almost wish I'd put him on earlier. My BC was all butter and had been refrigerated. It took a while before Spidey started to settle in the icing rather than sit on top of it - lesson learned! :) :)
