Fireman Sam's Fire Truck
I was asked to make a Fire Truck for a 3 year old who is a Fireman Sam fan, and luckily had Debbie Brown's book, which I used for inspiration. The customer was happy, and I was quite pleased with the result! Although I would love to hear any tips on how to colour sugarpaste with such strong colours and at the same time not compromise the sugarpaste consistancy - the red was a nightmare to work with!
You did a very nice job. If you were going to make the entire batch red you could have added the red dye to the liquid before you added your powdered sugar.
Your cake looks fanastic! My son would love this! He is turning 4 next month and has requested a Fire truck cake. Into my faves this goes! :-)
Using Marshamallow Fondant has been the solution to all my deep color problems. Very nice work.
