Scottish Throwing Weight

Scottish Throwing Weight on Cake Central

My family and I compete in the Scottish Highland Games (think ancient track and field. We also throw the "telephone poles", i.e. the caber). This is supposed to look like one of the weights we throw for height. Orange, so we won't LOSE it. :D The round handle and the U shape on top are molded chocolate, and the link is fondant, since I couldn't think of an easy way to make a chocolate chain link. And it had to travel well, so I just used fondant.

I just commented on your Rock cake. Here is another example of a wonderfully specialized cake. I love that it says something about your and your family and an activity you all enjoy. I am not familiar with the weights you use, but I am sure this is an awesome representation. GREAT job.
