Cadenasso Cake
I made this cake for my son's preschool teacher's birthday. Her father owned the Cadenasso winery in our area. Both tiers are covered in fondant. The grapes are made of gumpaste. The wine bottle is made from rice krispy treat (premade) covered in fondant, the writing is piped with buttercream. The grape leaves are fake, I didn't have time to order a veiner to make them on my own.
This is such a terrific creation. Love your wine bottle and the grapes scattered about! Nice you added the extra touch with the decorated cake board! ;-D
How did you color the fondant red? I'm trying to do a cake like this and my fondant turned out a weird pink color. Should I keep adding red to it?
I actually ordered red Satin Ice fondant for another cake and this was from what was left over.
