Finally I had enough time to try to make the gum-paste rose the way I saw cake masters are doing. I am very happy how it came out!

This is truly gorgeous! I love the color. What method did you use--one petal at a time, or the all in one rose cutter? Which "masters" are you modeling yourself after? Whoever it is, I think you made it! Congratulations!!

I also wanted to ask you what size cutters you used. Did you take a class or see a demonstration, or are you one of those rare talented people who can look at a picture and figure it out?? I wish I could. Anyway, again, it breathtaking!

wow! That's gorgeous! I'd like to know your method too, I've done gumpaste roses but they have never come out even close to how pretty this one is!

Thank you all for such generous compliments. I've used one petal at a time method - it gives more realistic look. I went through several tutorials that I found on CC and Internet like: (...) and (...) and followed some instructions from the ACD magazine and several cake decorating books. But, my true inspiration are roses made by Ron Ben-Israel, Nicholas Lodge, Kerry Vincent and, above all, Alan Dunn - he is the best
