Tiered Butterfly & Flower Cake
I made this cake for a friend's daugher who was turning 3. This was my first time working with fondant so I learned by trial & error. This was also my first tiered cake. The top is 2 6 inch and the bottom is 2 -8 inch cakes. The butterflies and flowers were too thick and didn't have time to dry so I had a hard time getting them to stay on the cake. The details on the butterflies and flowers are royal icing. The little girl loved the cake and stuck her finger in it when she saw it.
i think this cake looks great! very fresh and spring-y ...ahhh.....spring...... very pretty cake! :D
