Thank you guys!! It is a dummy cake, all the decorations (except the ribbon) are edible. The scrolls just stuck on with water. The antiquing was done with a dark brown, very fluid, "paint" (food coloring and vanilla extract), then I just wiped it off the high points. I'm really glad you guys like it!! Sometimes I step back and look at something I've made and I just wonder what folks will think... so thank you.
Collete would be proud! Great job...and I do mean GREAT!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Holy Cow...!!! 8O
Wow, I'd like to know how you "stained" this!! Very unique and interesting. It needs some porcelain roses on top. Nice job!
Holy moly! That is gorgeous! Please do share a little about how you did the antiquing!
Is that a real cake or a dummy? If real, how did you get those thick scrolls to stay on ?
that is amazing.

Looks great! Reminds me of one of the ones in Collette's latest book.
that's where i got the inspiration! I love Colette, and her cakes, and I've been wanting to try the "antique" look.
Awesome job, very well done!
