My first whimsical, inspired by many photos here on CC, and following how to instructions. It was meant to be 3 tiered but the last cake wasn't big enough. Thanks for looking.
This is so beautiful I still have not been brave enough to try a whimsical cake, but you did a perfect job. Love the colours too... all VERY professional looking!!!
This is really lovely. I especially like the colours you used. I haven't made a whimsical cake yet but you definitely inspire me. How do you get the top edges of your cakes so perfectly rounded?
Thanks again, for your comments :) The round edges just sorta happened. This was one of my older cakes where they've been iced in buttercream first before covered in fondant. I think for this one, I had too much buttercream underneath, hahaha. Nowadays, I ganache my cakes before covering in fondant. I personally didn't like the round edges as I was going for a straight edge. Oh well, it sorta works for this one :)
