Jimi Hendrix's Stratocaster
This was such a fun cake to make. Recipiant is a HUGE Jimi Hendrix fan so This is a replica of the Fender Guitar that Jimi Hendrix lit on fire at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, so naturally, we lit it on fire⦠WASC with MMF cover and decoration. Brushed with 151 to lite on fire instead of boring candles :)

Really Cool. OMG!! I don't think I could've watched it burn.
I am so impressed!! Did you use a pattern, and if so, where did you get it?? This is truly perfection.
Thanks :) I just had drew a templet using some pics from a guitar book as my reference. If anyone wants to see it on fire just pm me your email address and I can forward you the videoclip.

Oh my heck - this is so perfect. You did an amazing job on this. Fantastic!!!!!
ok 2 questions what are the string made of and did you eat it after it burned?
A few answers to questions :) Strings are spaghetti that I tried to paint silver. The alcohol we used to torch the cake was Bacardi Rum 151. Beleive it or not the flames did not harm the cake at all, it was basically left untouched. The spaghetti on the other had did catch on fire but it gave something for the birthday boy to blow out.
