This cake design was from the napkin the customer brought to me. The number 1 is made from fondant and then used and edible marker to draw the gingham look. I tried taping off the fondant with masking tape and painting the lines but not matter how hard I tried to make sure the tape was down securely the paint always bled through and didn't look well!!
