Yes, I admit I used a template, and, yes, my hands felt like they might break before I finished it. It was fun, though, when they were done!

I just Googled a picture of a peppermint and printed it off. Then I enlarged it to the size of the cake. I cut out the red parts so I could trace the pattern on the cake with a toothpick. Thank you for all the compliments! :D
