When the fondant was still fresh (I worked on it over a few months) I just wet the end of a paint brush and made a dent in the fondant for the dragee. The wetness allowed the dragee to stick. One the fondant dried I used piping gel. I used the brush end of a paintbrush. dipped it in the piping gel and "painted" the spot I wanted to stick the dragee. HTH!
