Could you also PM me with how you did it? I saw this in one of the Wilton's books but I'm always afraid to do it. Any time I try to piece together things (quilt), it starts to pull apart. I can't imagine rolling something like this out and then covering the whole cake with it. Great job!
Very cute, you did a great job. It would be perfect for my momâs club valentineâs day party. Which yearbook is it from? I couldnât find it in the 07 or 08 yb. I would love the instructions on how to do it. Thanks, Tabitha [email protected]
Thanks for all the compliments! It was a little bit time consuming to do the top tier. I pretty much copied that part straight from the Wilton 2005 yearbook. You just cut out the different color hearts, then lay them on the cake and gently mark where they need to be trimmed. Take it back off the cake, cut off the marked sections, then attach it with a little water. Hope that makes sense! The hardest part for me was not to eat all the conversation hearts myself - I love those things :P
Absolutely awesome!!! What did you use to write on them? It looks to me like you took a toothpick dipped in icing color...am I right? If not, then how? :D
Could you please email me how you did this cake? especially how you did the writiting on the hearts? [email protected] thanks
