Cute cake, great job. Did you use card board for the ear & cover with fondant? What did you use to get such a deep black color? My black always come out with a hint of grey in there. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the comments! The ears are made only of fondant. I cheated and bought the pre-colored wilton fondant for the ears. The icing on the "hat" was made with a LOT of black coloring.
