Thank you! Tips I can offer would be to oversculpt to allow for thickness of BC and fondant. I make my sneaker cakes by just following a picture of a real sneaker and just eyeballing each piece of fondant "leather" cut to size. Laces are made from clay extruder. I also start with an extra layer of cake frozen on top before cutting.

Thank you Mandice! I didn't actually "lace" the laces. I cut out each section and glued or stuffed the end into the hole to look like it was really laced.
