Boys Christening
Made for a sweet little boy named Joshua. This cake was 3 different flavours and covered with fondant . Topped with booties (template taken from this site THANKS) and adorned with blocks which were hand made and very rough. Does anyone know a simple way to make these?
This is a nice cake, though it was hard for you to make the blocks. I've never attempted them. The rice krispies suggestion sounds great. There is a Wilton book that makes blocks out of gumpaste - 4 sides, no top and bottom - to cover the center pillars on the cake. Maybe making 6 would work.
I think this cake is fabulous! I did blocks from the rice krispies treats and it worked very well. Can see it in my photos for susies baby shower cake. HTH
Thanks for your support and ideas - I have never seen rice crispies here in Australia, I assume they are a wafer style biscuit?

maybe you could use rice crispie treat and form them into squares and cover the sqaures. I new to cake decorating so I'm sure there is an easier way but that is what I came up with.:)
