In community album: Pulled Sugar / Blown Sugar
Dark blue pulled sugar rose. I haven't made any in quite a while, so I thought I would use up some sugar! This is only about the 5th rose I have ever made. For those looking to try this kind of thing, I did this with out the aid of a warming box. I kept my sugar warm in my oven set to 300 degrees. I brought it out to work with it on a silpat mat (it is handy to have at least 2 of them! I had a heating lamp over my project so the sugar didn't cool as fast. I am sure having a warming box would help.
