Thanks for the comments! The fondant was leftover from my son's birthday cake. Never thought I'd do a purple cake for Xmas, but I'm pleased with how it turned out. Patty, I painted it with pearl luster dust mixed with vodka. I let it sit until some of the vodka evaporated, so it was the consistency of a thick glaze. (And my 4 y/o son painted, so it went on REALLY thick.) :D
