In album: two-tier
Made this for my aunt who's birthday was the same day as our family's Christmas get-together. Got the inspiration for this cake from the Wilton site's A Very Merry-Go-Round cake. Bottom is a 2 layer 8 x 2 inch round, top is two layer 6 x 2 inch round. Buttercream. NFSC cookies with rbc and royal accents. Real candy canes and mints.

critique group member: Well, that turned out really great. The colors are all very complimentary and nice. I like all of the real candy as accents. Your bc isn't completely smooth (ehich you are aware of), but it's not too noticeable because of all of the other elements to the cake. I am not sure I would have wanted to cut it either. On one hand I wouldn't want to mess it up, but on the other hand I would really want to eat it! :D

critique subgroup member: very cute cake!!! I love the colors. As you stated the BC could have been smoother. The cake board should have been a bit bigger, but I love the covering you have over it, it matches perfectly to the cake!!!

critique group member: I think the best part is how the canes on top seem to explode with zest. The color combo is great and your snowmen were the perfect touch! It's great how you used the mints on top for a border- great idea!

Critique Group Member: That's cute but I'm not crazy about the uprightcandy canes around the layers. Your snowmen are so adorable but the candycanes seem to get my eye's attention.

Critique Group Member: this cake is cute.. other than going a bit heavy on the candy canes it is a very fun design. BC issues, but don't we all have those... I find a bench scraper is one of the best tools for getting the sides nice and crisp and smooth.

critique group member: I love the overall concept of this cake!!! Very cute...I think I would of added a different color mint on the borders...and just a little extra smoothing...other then that I really like your cake !!!
