Made in half-ball pan (6in) Frosted in buttercream. Brushed with some super blue luster dust and decorated with royal icing. Hanger is made with 2 mini Tootsie rolls and brused with gold luster dust.
I think this looks awesome!! I will be attempting two of these this weekend, My biggest concern for myself is getting them smooth because I dont want to use fondant..
The floating look is probably because my dining room light is ball shaped (early '80s vintage)! I let the buttercream crust for a couple hours before I used a clean makeup brush for blush to lightly brush on the dust. I need to learn how to use a sprayer - it would've been more uniform.
