Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back In The Water.....shark!
I made this for my dad's 76th birthday. When we were growing up, we lived in Bayville NY by Oyster Bay. Mom & Dad would sometimes take the boat out in the bay and go around to the other side of Center Island for an afternoon. Mom would collect rocks that had little chips of mica in them for her rock garden and dad would fish or tinker with the motor on the boat. One time they saw a really BIG shark come up behind the boat. This cake represents that event!
Great job! Sounds like some fun memories!
That's a great story to go along with the great cake~
You did a great job capturing the story on the cake !
I really like your water and sand!
The water is blueberry jello with a little more unflavored gelatin added. You let it set half way, then pour it into an bc iced well in the cake. The sand is made from ground up vanilla wafers.
