Gumpaste Poinsettias, Freesia, Berries And Snow Dusted Pinecones

Gumpaste Poinsettias, Freesia, Berries And Snow Dusted Pinecones on Cake Central

Gumpaste. My first poinsettias and pinecones, and second time doing wired flowers. I didnt have any cutters or veiners so I kind of ad-libbed. The client asked for sparkle- so though, not true to nature, there was LOTS of it! I was proud of how they turned out. thanks for looking.

You did very well for not having cuters or vieners. Check our my pointsettias and pine cones. They are done with the proper cutters and such. You did very well. The "proper" supplies are very expensive and I try to mine for more than one flower if I can. Good Job!

i started with pink / light green gumpaste and dipped them in vodka/ gel color mixed with pearl dust. then i added red/ green sparkle dust. i think dipping them gives a great glossy shine. steaming also gives a nice shine after dry dusting.
