Nightmare Before Christmas

Nightmare Before Christmas on Cake Central

This cake was actually made for my daughter's birthday in Dec., but I thought it would fit better here. It is a buttercream transfer. I place mine on the cake before I freeze it so that it is smoothed into the top of the cake more. This took several hours. It's my second square cake, still not great at making the square corners, but I think the transfer turned out pretty good. My daughter loved it and that's what counts. Thanks for looking!

Thank you! I did this Tuesday night and my hand still hurts. To do this without freezing first I do the whole thing onto saran wrap, then flip it onto the cake while it's still soft. Then I place the whole cake in the freezer for 15 min. before I peel the saran wrap off. This way you can smooth the image onto the cake a little better. You need someone to help flip the image though. Thanks again for the kind words!

You know what? I think the fact that your square is not totally square actually works really well with the design of the cake! I think the whole thing is amazing!
