Yellow Roses And Ribbon
This was made for a 55th anniversary but they wanted it to look more like a wedding cake. The daughter couldn't remember if they had specific wedding colors so she told me that her dad liked yellow roses and her mom wore a green dress (or something like that). They are the sweetest and funniest couple I know so I didn't want the cake to look "too mature". Chocolate cake, cinnamon filling, buttercream icing and fondant roses, filler flowers, and leaves with gold luster dust.
It's gorgeous. I just love it.
Very pjretty, excellent skills too!! ;-D
It looks so sweet, so romantic......I love it, into my fav.
Ditto to all of the above! The cake plate underneath looks pretty to. :)
honestly, i think it's all the cake plate! it makes burnt cookies look good! :D Thanks everybody for your sweet comments!
i like the colors
that bow is incredible! this cake has such a sweet feel to it, very nostalgic. i'm not a fan of lime green, but this is outstanding!!
wow.. this is so beautiful... the bow is perfect!!! :D
lime green ... ... lighting is off a bit!! it was a lit bit more sage looking ... but i happen to like the lime green look too! this is my favorite bow to date -- nothing but pure practice! ;-D (hints: i use skewer sticks to keep the consistency and the little wheel tool from wilton.)
I love everything about this cake--it's just perfect--the flowers are gorgeous--love it!!
Beautiful flowers, beautiful bow, beautiful cake.
