Winter Greetings 3
This is my 3rd "Winter Greetings" inpired cake. My Mother is the artist of a Lenox china pattern called...you guessed it..."Winter Greetings." Anyway it is for a friend of my mom's that is having a holiday party and wants the cake to match the china. Anyway, I am not really happy with the way it turned out! I had "caker's block" and I just had trouble coming up with the concept. It looked prettier in my head. Though it does have a lot of sparkles and glitter that you can't really see in the photo.
Well, despite your cakers block it's a very beautiful cake! You did good!
"cakers block" ? oh come now, its beautiful, as always!
Whether or not you think you had "caker's block," it looks fantastic! I love that china design-- my mom has a set. This cake will go beautifully with it! :)
My MIL also has this set of china and this cake will look absolutely beautiful with it! That's one gorgeous cake!
WOW! That is amazing! 8O Everything looks so perfect!
Thanks for nice comments. I guess it's not so bad, it does look a little better in person..until you inspect the buttercream that is 8O
You did a wonderful job on this! I think we've all had those moments where it looks better in our head, but we are also our own worst critics. This cake is beautiful.
How pretty Merissa, I love the muted colors you used.
It looks like you inherited your mother's artistic talents! My mother has a set of that china. I bought her the large serving tray for her birthday this year . . . this cake will look great on her table at her annual Christmas Eve party! :D
Merissa--I knew this was your design before your name showed up under the picture! You are so talented and I love this cake. Your work has a very distinctive "Merissa" look! Great job!
I THINK IS BEAUTIFUL :) :) :)
I think is very pretty and elegant !!!
Well I think it's lovely, you did a great job. And the buttercream looks fab to me ;-D
