Pomerantz Dig

Pomerantz Dig on Cake Central

A quick and somewhat sloppy cake for an impromtu birthday dinner for an archaeologist friend. Cake is uniced but torted with chocolate ganache to resemble strata. Varous fondant "artifacts" are strewn about, including a horde of coins, manusript shards, and a "fertility goddess." (His wife says anything an archaeologist can't explain is a fertility rite") The caketop and board around the cake are covered with chocolate dirt. Sign is rice paper with edible ink.
