Gibson Guitar Replica on Cake Central

This is a life-size replica of the birthday honoree's personal guitar. Carved from 2 12x18's and covered with fondant. Airbrushed, then painted with confectioners glaze. Everything is edible except the pegs holding the tuning knobs. The strings are Sugar Veil.

The neck is solid cake. I put a strip of fondant on the sides to give the illusion of empty space underneath.

I have to agree that this looks amazingly real! My son plays guitar and he would love something like this. I don't think I'm that talented though! :cry:

This is absolutely incredible!!! I made a Takoma acoustic once so I can truly appreciate what you have done!!! This cake looks like the real deal!
