Critique group member: Cute Rusty looks great! I also really the like the touch of the lights on the corners.Critique wise I would say that you need to work on the top border, first off I can not even tell what type of border it is supposed to be and second some of it looks like it is going to fall off on the front.

Critique subgroup member: Fantastic FBCT. I like the checkerboard pattern on the side. The writing looks a little inconsistent to me...like the "y" in Happy seems like a different style than the other letters. Does that make sense? This cake would look great on a black or red board! Nicely done. I'm sure the b-day boy loved it!

critique subgroup member: The FBCT looks fabulous! I think that the writing really takes away from your cute cake. I would suggest that you either practice writing on some wax paper or use fondant cut-outs for the letters -- I can't pipe letters so I use fondant. Also, I think a yellow border all around would have been better than red writing and a red border.

Critique subgroup member: great design I have the same problem with spacing my wording on the cake, I always seem to get one side too close to the edge. I love your colors and the checker look on the sides.

Critique subgroup member: I commented on this before but now for the critique- I also agree that the writing should either be incorporated into the design of the cake or off on the cake board itself. Looking at your cakes, I think you know how to be a little more creative with those things- maybe put the name on the door or in the windshield, for instance.. the lights on the sides were very creative. You are excellent at transfers.Great colors :)

Critique subgroup member: Your FBCT is nice. Need a different board asap...no tin foil get some Wilton foil with Michaels 40% coupon...2-3 inches bigger then the cake. You need to use fondant letters because your handwriting doesn't help the design - sorry. Is your border falling off? I think your BC was too warm or thin. Chill the cake/& BC, easier to work with and use a T ruler to make it straight.

critique group member. The FBCT turned out great. I agree with the others that the writing takes away from the cake. I have a hard time with this also so I use a letter press or fondant cutouts. Also I think the top border is a bit to much maybe next time use just 1 color
