Blue And White
I made this cake for my mother in law who is visiting us this friday. It is a rich fruit cake that has been laced with that much brandy over the months that she could be done for DUI after one slice LOL!! It is covered in navy blue sugarpaste and I piped christmas trees around the edge. I made the spray out of flower paste last week and it consists of holly, berries and a hydranger, all dusted in snowflake dust and bluebell dust and flicked dust over the cake for snow. thanks for looking.
Very pretty. I love the dark shade of blue! The spray is really nice. You did a great job!
That is so beautifully elegant. Lve the color and simplicity of the design.
Colors are stunning together!
Great cake. I love the Christmas trees, very art deco.
so cool not too much deco great job...
Very elegant! The brandy thing is funny--I had to did a cake for extra credit in one of my english classes once...can't remember what it was called, but there weren't many recipes for it. Anyways, the recipe I had didn't have you bake the brandy out of the cake--you added it later. It REEKED of alcohol, and I was't allowed to serve it to my classmates! Only the teacher and pricipal ate it--they liked it though! Haha.
Fabulous!
Gorgeous! Beautiful cake, love the color scheme.
How did you ever get that wonderful shade of blue? I can never get a navy blue fondant color...always gets too much paste color in it and ruins the fondant.
i added LOADS of sugarflair navy paste colour to the fondant, but it looked quite light untill i covered the cake.
love it!
Ooooh, I love this one.
