Princess Buttercream Wedding Cake With Gumpaste Bows
This stacked cake was a joint creation. No, it is not fondant. Crusting buttercream (but no butter) and swags were painted with vodka and super pearl dust. The gumpaste bows were made and painted with super pearl dust and the tails were placed on the cake first. The bows were added at the reception site and the centers are buttons. Rhinestones were around each tier and then a tiera on top. Fit for a princess.
Beautiful, wish we could see it close up!
Perfect!!! It's beautifull !!!
Absolutely gorgeous.I would love to see a bigger picture
Beautiful. I like how your gumpaste is so thin you can see through it. Fabulous job.
Very beautiful! I would really like to see a lighter, closer photo -- difficult to see all your lovely detail work.
Fabulous
Absolutley elegant.
Stunning! It looks like it is straight out of Marie Antoinette. I had to do a double take - those bows are so perfect. By any chance do you have a close up view? I'd love to see the details.
I'll see if I can get one.. they are just simple and thin.
WOW!!!!!!!i love this cake!!its so gorgous!how did you make the buttercream with 2 colors? what did you use?
The buttercream was tinted pink and then crusted at least overnight. Then we used superpearl lustre dust and painted it with 100 proof vodka at least 3 times after allowing to dry each time.
