Storybook ! on Cake Central

This cake was for a 3 yr old girl who could not make up her mind if she wanted Lion King or Nemo. So her mother asked me to put both on a cake and I came up with the storybook idea...I think it turned out fine!!! Used a book pan. All mmf. Credits for the story on the book (painted) goes to my DH!!

WWWOOOOOOOOWW!! What a GREAT solution to the "one cake, two themes" dilemma. I LOVE your 2d-3d effect. Spectacular cake, I could gaze at it all day. Your figures are AMAZING!

Don't know if I want to romp through the forest with Simba or swim in the Ocean with Nemo. It reminds me of those 3d story books from childhood. I've done quite a few cakes with the book pan, but the fondant covering and details take it to a whole new level. Be proud, be very proud (That's mufasa talking) :o)

FINE!?!?! No it turned out wonderfully! This is a fantastic idea and I'll expect you'll see others (including me ) TRY humbly to duplicate the idea!

holy moley!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the most amazing thing I have ever seen!!!!!!!! Do you mind me asking how big the cake was and how much you charged for it? This blows my mind. I had a very labor intensive cake and had no idea what to charge for it since it has a small serving amount, but took me about 10 hours to decorate.

Holy cow this is awesome!!!! Hoh did you make all the creatures so like the animation? I could go on and on about how much I love this cake!
