Thats a very cute idea. I really like your orange platter...I cant find a halloween platter in my town, anywhere. One year I made caramel "pumpkin" apples with pretzel rod stems. Dipped them in caramel and when they set up dipped in a candy coating...yummy...

Cake scraps (from a trimmed cake or any kind of cake for that matter), mixed with just about any liquid then formed into balls and dipped into some kind of chocolate or candy melts. there are articles and recipes here, they are so easy and such a hit!

yes, just orange candy melts with a bit of crisco, should have double dipped but didn't have enogh candy melts.
