Blue Dinosaur
This cake was constructed from one 10" round and one 9" round. Chocolate cake brushed with morello cherry preserves and filled with chocolate buttercream. The feet are bits of cake, the tail and neck are made from RCT while the head is crumpled foil. The head was originally RCT but it got too soft so the neck dowel started pushing through the head and caused a severe skull fracture. The whole cake is covered in fondant. I originally airbrushed the cake but did not like the outcome so hand painted it on top.

The birthday boy just wanted a blue dinosaur, so there was no theme or character I had to do. I thought it was a bit of a strange request but birthday boy was thrilled so that is all that matters.
