In album: wave
I made this cake for a surfer/Hawaiian themed baby shower. The decorations are sugar paste and chocolate
rocks; the sand is raw sugar spun in the blender; the water is gel icing.

This is SO CUTE! I love the water and I absolutely ADORE the pacifier in the babies mouth. It is just SO CUTE! BTW, could you tell us what you made the wave out of?

The wave is several layers of cake that I carved slightly to get the angle of the wave. I learned the hard way that you can't do too much of an overhang on the wave or it will crack in the back from the weight. I ended up with a lot of dowels in it to keep it up!

WOW! Amazing! I would imagine it would fall over; I don't think that I could have gotten it to stay up. Great job! ;-D Thanks for sharing. :D
