Christielee: I did make the topper myself. I used a heavy wire and beads to create it. Too bad it is backwards!

Intreging design. Can you explain the method for adding the dots? I haven't has such success. The orchids are perfect!

gr8yf: I cut them out of fondant with a round cutter and then lined them up on the cake. Very easy but very time consuming!

What a BEAUTIFUL cake! Too bad your customer gave you such a difficult time. She obviously has NO idea how much woek went into this beautiful creation. The orchids are SO pretty!

I really like the way the green dots "pop" . Did you cut circles from the white fondant cover and lay in the dots, or are the dots very thin fondant affixed to the white cover? The shading on the orchids is very nice, subtle and effective.

Your dots and also the 'ribbon' around the bottom and very precise and intricate. Nice cake, very nice.

This is a VERY nice cake. I like that way that the green dots look interspersed with the black. The topper is fabulous. Okay, I love polka dots. How did you get the dots to line up so evenly? Did I mention how much I love this cake!!!

What a neat cake! love the dots (don't blame you for being tired of them) :) is the topper an "S", is it just backwards in the picture?

Absolutely gorgeous! The look of the dots is just awesome! 'Clean' was a good word... the work is very clean looking, so well lined up, etc. Simply elegant!
