Piroulette Birthday Cake

I liked how this cake turned out, but I may never make one like it again. The cookies are expensive and I invested $20 on them just to have enough to go around the cake. So many of them were broken or crushed when I opened the can - I had to send my husband back to the store for more! This was also a FREE cake for a co-worker' birthday so it really hurt my pocketbook!!

The cake was 3 layers of lemon cake - the filling was no-bake cheesecake mix topped with blackberry preserves. It was a big hit!!

I made one for my boss the last week, I need to upload my pics, but you are right, those cookies are very expensive, but she loved it, and that is all that mattered! Good Luck Baking!

Love your cakes--Yeah those cookies are expensive, R those pepperidge farm cookies? My mom works there and she gets them reallllllly cheap.

yes they are pepperidge farm. my wedding cake was done with these cookies but we bought them in bulk at Sam's - I don't remember the name brand, but Sam's is 100 miles away and this was a last minute cake so I coughed up a fortune and got em at the local walmart! :cry:
