Menka's birthday cake

This cake sent me to bed crying at 2 a.m. last night. I started stripping all of its buttercream off and throwing it away b/c I could not get it smoothed to my satisfaction. My first tears shed over a cake (one of three I had to do last night! Ya think I was stressed?) Started fresh with new buttercream this morning. It's better, but not up to standard. Bummer.
